Men's Soccer nets six to trump Ohio Christian

Box Score WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Three goals from Kyle Hamlin highlighted Grace's 7-0 rout of Ohio Christian at Miller Field on Saturday.

The Lancers (4-2) are in an offensive groove of late, having outscored their opponents 19-1 over their last two matches.

Grace controlled the match in terms of possession and shots, holding a 37-3 advantage in shot attempts and 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Within the first eight minutes of action, Kyle Hamlin had already notched a goal and an assist. He scored off a nice dribble and feed from Ben Cahill in the seventh minute and went on to assist Trent Smith for a goal at the 7:31 mark.

Smith then found Steven Fiema for Grace's third goal in the 29th minute.

In the 32nd minute Jonathan Sands crossed a ball to the head of Austin Altimus, who ricocheted his shot off the post and into the net.

Hamlin gave the Lancers a 5-0 lead with a strike less than four minutes from the halftime whistle. He went on to complete his hat trick shortly into the second half with a sparkling individual effort, juking around a few defenders to blast a shot past the goalkeeper.

Gift Sibukome then found Fiema for his sixth goal of the season at the 76:03 mark to complete the day's scoring.

Jacob Cole and Travis Kirkland combined to record the team's shutout in goal as each goalkeeper notched a save in 45 minutes.

Overall 16 players saw the field for Grace. Eleven of those Lancers tallied a shot.

The Lancers wrap up the nonleague portion of the schedule on Wednesday when they travel to face Moody Bible Institute.
