WARSAW, Ind. – After moving indoors due to rainy weather, Grace's men's tennis team extended their winning streak to five in their match against Taylor on Wednesday.
The Lancers (5-1; 5-0 CL) have only three league matches remaining in their pursuit of claiming the regular-season Crossroads League championship.
With Senior Aaron Blevins still missing due to injury, the team pulled together to produce the 7-2 win over the Trojans.
Junior Daniel Sanchez and senior Michael Humphrey produced almost perfect games with their 6-1, 6-1 wins in the No.1 and No. 4 singles categories. Humphrey performed well alongside senior Jack Wang in another almost perfect game when the pair defeated the No. 2 doubles Taylor team 8-1.
Freshman Jacob Stump and sophomore Jose Marval added singles wins to their personal records as well. The freshman/sophomore pair of Ethan Grove and David Discroll had a doubles victory, extending their wins record as well.
