WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Grace's women's tennis team fell to Indiana Wesleyan in their home opener at Miller Field on Saturday.
Freshman Mariah Zumbrun proved to be Grace's strongest result as the Wildcats ultimately won 9-0.
Zumbrun led early in her first set before falling 6-4. She then took her opponent at No. 3 singles to extra games in the second set but lost 7-6.
Kristin Cassidy won four games at No. 1 singles, and Gabrielle Lawrence at No. 6 singles and Sarah Hinkel at No. 4 singles each took two games in defeat.
The Lady Lancers will hope to rebound next week when they travel to Upland, Ind., to face Taylor on Tuesday.
