GOSHEN, Ind. - Southeastern proved to be too much for Grace's women's basketball team on Saturday in a 94-60 win.
The Flames beat Grace in nearly every facet of the game, including shooting, rebounding and handling the ball.
The Lady Lancers (3-4) struggled on offense to shoot 31 percent from the floor. Grace was worse from distance, hitting just 5-of-28 from the 3-point line.
The Flames, on the other hand, made 52 percent of their shots and hit 15 triples. Southeastern's defense also forced Grace into 22 turnovers thanks to 18 steals.
The middle two quarters were especially troublesome on Saturday for Grace. The Lady Lancers were outscored 48-23 in the second and third quarters thanks to shooting 7-of-30 from the floor.
Southeastern, conversely, made at least 53 percent of its field goals in three of the four quarters.
Haley Richardson's strong week continued, leading Grace with 14 points and five boards, and Darian Patton had 11 points and five rebounds.
Kelsie Peterson tallied eight points, and Brooke Sugg scored nine. Chloe Pridgen made both of her field goals and scored six points off the bench, and Vironnica Drake chipped in 5 points, 5 assists and 4 boards.
The Lady Lancers will enjoy an NCAA Div. I exhibition on Monday, squaring off at Wright State at 1 p.m. Grace will play another D1 opponent on Dec. 10 against Valparaiso.Â
