VERO BEACH, Fla. - Logan Grigsby and Blake Converset starred from the mound, leading Grace to two wins in Florida.
Converset and Grigsby both threw complete-game victories, while Grigsby earned a shutout.
Against Newport Apprentice on Thursday, Converset went all seven innings in Grace's 5-2 win. He allowed seven hits with four strikeouts to get his third win of the season.
The Lancers (5-2) fell behind 2-1 after three innings to Newport, but a two-run inning in the top of the fourth gave Grace the lead for good. The Lancers added another run in both the sixth and seventh innings to ice the win.
Jamar Bray was 2-for-2 with two runs and a triple, and Xavier Harris hit 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and two RBIs.
On Friday, Grace blanked Trinity International 10-0 behind the sparkling pitching of Grigsby. He threw a four-hitter against the Trojans (6-4), striking out six and walking one in a shutout.
The Lancers outhit Trinity 14-4 as seven players from Grace notched a hit. Grace scored all of its runs in two innings, producing five runs in the top of the first and five more in the sixth.
Mitchell Enyart tallied 3 hits, 2 runs and 3 RBIs, and Matthew Warren was 2-for-3 with a run driven in.
CJ Swartz and Austin Green each finished 2-for-4, Bray had two hits and two RBIs, and Jakob Radjenovich was 2-for-5 with two runs scored.
The Lancers wrap up the weekend with games against Penn State Brandywine and Rochester.
