INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Max Rozas picked up the lone point for Grace's men's tennis in an 8-1 defeat at Marian on Tuesday.
The Lancers (6-5, 4-4 Crossroads League) were much closer than the final scoreline appeared, but the Knights (9-1, 7-1 CL) came away with the win at almost every position.
Grace fell into an early hole by losing all three doubles' points. Conner Bates and Jacob Gray were edged out 8-6 at No. 3 doubles, and Max Rozas and Caleb Yoder lost 8-5 at No. 2 doubles.
Rozas earned his win at the top singles' position with a 6-1, 6-4 scoreline. Pavle Popovic battled hard but came up short at No. 2 singles (5-7, 4-6).
The Lancers wrap up the regular season on Thursday with a crucial road match at Spring Arbor. Only one game separates the No. 4-7 seeds in the league standings as of Tuesday night.
