Mishawaka, Ind. – The Lancers (1-0) started their season off in dominate fashion taking a 7-0 victory over Crossroads League rival, the Bethel Pilots (0-1).
 
Starting the day with doubles action was Freshmen 
Mauricio Corty who, along with 
Max Rozas, picked up his first collegiate win in the No. 2 doubles slot with a 6-2 victory over the Bethel squad. 
 
Pavle Popovic had an outstanding day that really set the tone for the Lancers. In doubles, he teamed up with 
Milan Savic in the No. 1 doubles spot to take a 6-2 match victory, before transitioning to singles action where he swept both his sets 6-0 from the No. 1 spot.
 
Kye Barrett also won both his matches, teaming with 
Jacob Gray to take a 6-1 doubles victory, and in the No. 6 singles slot sweeping his opponent 6-2, and 6-1.
 
Also, seeing his first action as a Lancer, was freshman 
Ramiro Candia. Candia was placed in No. 3 singles spot and it took only two sets for him to notch his first victory.
The Lancers will host the University of Northwestern Ohio at the Miller Athletic Complex on Thursday, Aug. 29
th at 2pm.
