MARION, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team fell for the first time in Crossroads League play on Tuesday.
The Lancers (8-2, 7-1 CL) slipped 4-3 to No. 22 Indiana Wesleyan in a battle for first place in the league standings.
Grace still has a chance to wrap up the No. 2 seed in the conference. The Lancers will host No. 21 Marian on Sept. 24 to determine which team will finish second or third.
The day started well for Grace; the Lancers claimed the doubles' point after winning two matches.
Max Rozas and Fabricio Galvan pulled out a 7-6 win at No. 2 doubles, and Ramiro Candia and Jacob Gray claimed a 6-4 victory at No. 3.
Rozas also won at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-1), and Pavle Popovic earned a 6-2, 7-6 win at No. 3. The Wildcats (11-0, 8-0 CL) managed to take the match, however, by winning the remaining four singles' courts.
