SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Grace College's men's tennis team picked up their second straight win on Wednesday as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over Holy Cross.
The NAIA 19th-ranked Lancers (14-4) dropped the first match of the doubles competition but bounced back with a pair of victories to take the overall doubles' point.
Pavle Popovic and Facundo Paredes won 6-4 from No. 1 doubles, and Ramiro Candia teamed with Mauricio Corty to take No. 3 doubles 7-5.
The Lancers captured the first three points of singles to secure the victory. From the No. 1 singles slot, Max Rozas took his matchup in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
David Sandi was challenged from the No. 2 slot but also won in straight sets (7-5, 6-4). Paredes breezed by his competition at No. 3 (6-0, 6-0) to secure the victory for Grace.
The Lancers return to action on Saturday when they face No. 23 Indiana Tech.
