WARSAW, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team earned its fourth straight win thanks to a 6-0 win over Lawrence Tech on Wednesday.
The match was played indoor at Warsaw's Eastlake Tennis Club.
Grace swept the doubles' courts to take an early advantage. Pavle Popovic and Facundo Paredes won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Max Rozas and Fabricio Galvan (No. 2) as well as Mauricio Corty and Ivan Santori (No. 3) each won by the score of 6-2.
Galvan (6-3, 6-2) routed his opponent at No. 4 singles, Popovic (6-4, 6-1) cruised at No. 6, and David Sandi (6-4, 6-2) also won in straight sets at No. 2.
Rozas battled to a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) win at the top singles' court, and Paredes pulled out a three-set win (6-4, 4-6, 10-7) at No. 3.
The Lancers will next take a road trip south to Kentucky and Tennessee, starting March 3. Grace will battle against top NAIA teams, including No. 15 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 20 Cumberland (Tenn.) and (RV) Asbury (Ky.).
