Box Score CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Grace's women's soccer team was unable to generate a win in its season opener on Wednesday.

The Lady Lancers fell 3-0 to NCAA Div. II Cedarville in Ohio. The Yellow Jackets jumped ahead with a 25th-minute goal, and the Lady Lancers were never able to respond. Cedarville found an insurance goal at the 70:48 mark and a clincher late with less than four minutes remaining.

Overall, Grace was outshot 11-5. Both teams accounted for three corner kicks as well. Grace was accurate in its attempts, recording four of its five shots on goal. 

Three players for Grace made their Lancer debuts, including Eliana Styer, Autumn Anderson and Libby Stratton.

The Lady Lancers are back in action on Saturday with the home opener. Grace will host St. Mary at noon. The game will be followed by Grace's men's team hosting Lawrence Tech (2 p.m.) for a doubleheader at 1st Source Bank Field.
