ALLENDALE, Mich. - Grace's men's tennis team fell twice in a pair of road matchups over the weekend.

In the opening match of the weekend, Grace was unable to secure a point. NCAA Div. II Grand Valley State won 7-0 over the Lancers.

Fabricio Galvan and Ramiro Candia were the closest match in doubles' play, falling 6-4.

In singles' action, Galvan was also a tough out. He won the opening set 7-5 before narrowly dropping the match 7-6 (10-3).

Facundo Paredes was also a close defeat at No. 1 singles (6-3, 7-6).

The second match was a 7-0 defeat to another Div. II school — this time at Ferris State.

Grace nearly won the doubles' point against the Bulldogs. Ivan Antinori and Paredes secured the 7-6 (7-0) win at No. 3 doubles. Candia and Galvan had a narrow defeat at No. 2 doubles (7-5).

Candia was also the closest competitor in singles' play, falling in three sets. Paredes and Galvan each had a 7-5 set loss during singles as Grace was unable to hand the Bulldogs (6-0) their first loss of the season.

The Lancers will take a trip to Kentucky beginning on March 10. Grace will play matches against Midway, Union and Campbellsville during the trip.
