WINONA LAKE, Ind. – After a stellar year, Grace College's women's basketball team saw a pair of players earn national honors.
Maddie Ryman and Karlee Feldman's efforts on the hardwood were recognized nationally as both players earned All-American status this past week.
Ryman was named NCCAA First Team All-American as well as honorable mention for NAIA All-American. Feldman was named NCCAA Third Team All-American
Ryman is the fourth Lady Lancer to earn a spot on the NAIA All-American roster, joining Vironnica Drake (2020), Allison Kauffman (2015) and Juaneice Jackson (2014).
Ryman led the Lady Lancers with 17.1 points per game and finished the year seventh in program history for single-season scoring (563). She also led Grace in assists (2.9) and steals (1.6) per game.
In her first season with Grace, Feldman had a massive impact as Grace's starting center. She averaged a double-double for the season with 14.3 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. She also shattered the program's single season double-double record with 22 on the season. She bested the previous mark of 14 which was set in 2015 by Allison Kauffman.
Ryman and Feldman's contributions helped propel the Lady Lancers to a memorable season.
Grace made the Crossroads League semifinals and qualified for the NCCAA National Championships for the seventh consecutive season.
The Lady Lancers also tied the single-season record for wins, reaching the 20-win mark for the third time in program history.
Ryman and Feldman were part of a quartet of Lady Lancers who were also selected to the NCCAA All-Region team.
Ryman won Midwest Region Player of the Year, and Feldman was recognized as a first team selection. Kiersten Poor made the second team, and Kenzie McMahon was an honorable mention.
Grace head coach Dan Davis was selected as the Midwest Region Coach of the Year in his fourth year guiding Grace.
The Lady Lancers also had a plethora of players recognized for their work in the classroom. McMahon, Kate Rulli, Olivia Pearson, Kaylee Patton, Kate Schlatter, Poor, Taylor Cooney, Kiara Gill, Ryman and Feldman were all named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.
