WARSAW, Ind. - Grace's bowling teams made history over the weekend with the team's first-ever home tournament.
The Lancers hosted Crossroads League No. 3, the third of five league tournaments during the course of the season.
The men bowled at Warsaw Bowl, while the women competed at The Bowling Alley. The men's team tied for sixth out of seven teams, while the women finished fifth.
Erik Haegeland earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team, producing an average round of 210. Braydon Kunz (198 average) and Kameron Branum (190) also impressed for Grace's squad.
Grace's men totaled 6,515 pins overall, including 3,763 in team games and 2,752 in baker games. The Lancers had the fourth-best tally in team score games.
On the ladies' side, Grace was led by Rebecca Lewis's average of 169. She finished just outside of the top 10 with an 11th-place showing.
Lilly Kelly averaged 156 pins, and Madison Anderson also topped 150 for an average round of 151.
The ladies knocked down 5,232 pins in the tournament, topping Mt. Vernon Nazarene and Indiana Wesleyan. The team had 2,973 pins in team games and 2,259 baker pins
Grace's next competition is the fourth Crossroads League tournament. It will be held on Saturday in Fort Wayne at MVP Lanes.
