WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team beat Crossroads League foe Goshen 6-1 on Saturday on a warm afternoon at the Don Cramer Tennis Courts.
It was the Lancers' second win over Goshen this season, improving No. 17 Grace's sterling record to 19-5.
Grace was victorious at nearly every court against the Maple Leafs, including taking all three doubles' matchups.
Grace won all three doubles' courts by a 6-3 scoreline. Pablo Gregori and Salva Pons won at No. 1 doubles, Javier Gallego and Luis Cordoba won at No. 2, and Cesar Garcia and Manuel Marques won at No. 3.
Gallego was dominant at the top singles' court, blanking his No. 1 opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Gregori was victorious at No. 2 singles in straight sets as was Manuel Marques at No. 5.
Cordoba battled to a 6-3, 7-6 (5) victory at No. 4, and Pons registered a three-set win at No. 3 (5-7, 7-5, 10-5).
The Lancers have two more matches scheduled at home next week, including Indiana Wesleyan on Monday at 2:30 p.m. and No. 25 Oakland City on Thursday at 12 p.m.
