WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace College's women's golf team began their season on Tuesday at the Trine Kick-Off Classic.
The Lancers were represented by the "B" squad, who laid claim to a 5th place finish in the 13-team field.
"The heat made today really challenging", Grace head coach
Denny Duncan noted. "I am really proud of these five ladies for battling through such a hard round of golf."
The Lancers were led by the efforts of senior
Sydney Cesare. Cesare finished 18th out of 64 participants with a mark of 86.
Next in line for Grace was
Reagan Clifton and
Grace Beerman. The sophomore teammates carded identical scores of 88 to tie for 22nd.
Leah Starcher and
Raigan King wrapped up the scoring for Grace with marks of 91 and 94 respectively.
The Lancers will be in action again on Monday to kick off the two-day Battle at Brookwood tournament.
