CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Grace's men's tennis team won its second match of the weekend, taking down Lawrence Tech 6-1 on Saturday.
The Lancers improve to 2-0 on the young season after beating NCAA Div. II Cedarville on Friday.
Grace struck first versus LTU by taking the doubles' point. Benjamin Rahine and Mahefa Rakotomalala won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Stergios Papadopoulos teamed up with Manuel Marques to also win 6-2 at No. 2.
Singles' play was controlled by Grace. Papadopoulos cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3, and Rakotomalala won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4.
Zach Parker earned a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 6.
Rahine had to battle from behind to win at No. 1 singles, recovering to take the match in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 6-2). Marques also had to fight through three sets to win at No. 2 (6-4, 5-7, 6-2).
The Lancers will enjoy their home opener next week on Saturday, hosting Ferris State at noon.
