WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's women's soccer team received a pair of honors from the NCCAA following a remarkable season.
Cassidy Felger headlined the honors by being named the NCCAA National Player of the Year. Nora Pollock joined Felger as NCCAA First Team All-Americans.
Felger and Pollock were keys to a dynamic offensive front for Grace this year. The Lancers set program records for goals (83), assists (82) and points (248).
Felger racked up 19 goals, 10 assists and 48 points, while Pollock had 12 goals, 18 assists and 42 points.
Felger's 19 goals led the Crossroads League and was No. 12 in the NAIA. Her 19 goals were the fourth-most in team history and most in a season since 1998. She had the fourth-most points in a season as well.
Pollock's 18 assists were tied for the most in a single season at Grace. She led the entire country with 18 assists.
The Lancers (16-2-5) outscored their opponents 83-9 this year, giving up just 0.39 goals per game on average. Grace won the Crossroads League Tournament for the first time in program history and advanced to the NAIA Round of 16.
