WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's men's basketball team displayed another efficient performance in a 92-78 win over Trinity Christian at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
The No. 1 Lancers (11-0) thrilled the Friday afternoon crowd, which was filled with local students as part of Grace's annual Elementary Day doubleheader.
Grace flexed its patented balanced attack with eight players scoring at least eight points. Grace shot 53 percent from the floor and grabbed 14 more rebounds than the Trolls in the victory.
The Raasch brothers (Ian and Tyler) helped Grace at the onset of the contest, scoring Grace's first seven points. A 3-pointer from Grady Carpenter pushed the Lancers ahead 10-3, forcing an early timeout by Trinity.
A few minutes later, back-to-back scores from Gage Sefton opened up an 11-point edge.
But the Lancers' attack went cold, scoring just two more points over the next four minutes. The Trolls responded by slashing Grace's lead down to two.
