WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Following a remarkable season, Grace's men's basketball team collected three marquee awards from the NCCAA on Thursday.
Ian Scott was named the NCCAA National Player of the Year, Scott Moore was the NCCAA National Coach of the Year, and Ian Raasch was a Second Team All-American.
Scott is the fourth Lancer to be named the NCCAA National Player of the Year, joining Matt Abernethy (2003), Frankie Davidson (2022) and Elijah Malone (2024).
He produced impressive averages of 18.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals per game, ranking among the Crossroads League leaders in every category. The CL Player of the Year shot 63 percent from the floor and posted 13 double-doubles for the year.
Raasch collected the first All-American award of his young career. He finished the year averaging 16.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 63 percent from the floor. The sophomore seemed to get better as the year progressed, averaging nearly 20 points per game over Grace's seven postseason games.
Moore earns his third NCCAA National Coach of the Year honor in the past four years. The Lancers defied expectations after graduating four starters from last year's team. Grace ran through the Crossroads League, winning its third straight regular season championship and fourth straight postseason tournament title.
Grace advanced to the NAIA's Elite Eight for the third consecutive year and posted a sterling record of 29-6 (15-3 CL). Moore boasts an impressive 160-45 record (.780 winning percentage) across his first six years guiding the Lancers.
