WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Ian Scott earned a marquee honor for Grace's men's basketball team on Monday.
Scott was named an NAIA First Team All-American, recognizing the top-10 players in the NAIA this season. Scott was the national runner-up for the Player of the Year award, receiving the second-most votes for the honor.
Scott enjoyed a remarkable career for the Lancers. He was Grace's sixth man for his first three years, backing up the eventual NAIA National Player of the Year in 2024 (Elijah Malone).
He moved into the starting lineup this season and delivered. Scott was named the Crossroads League Player of the Year and the NCCAA National Player of the Year. He averaged 18.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.3 steals per game.
Scott graduated with 1,610 career points (No. 24 in team history), 906 rebounds, 393 assists, 186 blocks (No. 3) and 111 steals.Â
He shot 65.0 percent on his field goals for his career, 0.3 percent behind Malone for the career record at Grace.Â
