WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team had no trouble in its final regular season match.

The Lancers shut out Bethel, winning 7-0 on Wednesday at Miller Athletic Complex.

Grace dropped only three sets in doubles' competition. Pablo Gregori and Salva Pons had the closest victory with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles.

Artur Pons and Manuel Marques blanked their opponents at No. 2 doubles, and Benjamin Rahine and Luis Cordoba were also perfect at No. 3.

Grace won all six of the singles' courts, claiming all but two in straight sets.

Gregori had the narrowest win, coming from behind to win 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 at the top singles' court.

Artur Pons battled to a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3, and Marques claimed a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 6.

Cordoba (6-0, 6-2) at No. 4 singles and Rahine (6-0, 6-1) at No. 5 were dominant in their matches, and Salva Pons won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2.

Grace will now turn its attention to the postseason. The Lancers will compete at the NAIA National Championships, beginning May 13 in Mobile, Ala.

Grace qualified after winning the Crossroads League regular season and postseason tournament championships during the fall. It will mark Grace's fourth trip in five years to the NAIA tournament.
