NOBLESVILLE, Ind. - Grace College's women's golf team tackled the Sagamore Shootout on Monday afternoon and came away with a second place finish.
The Lancers bested a pair of conference foes and fell short of topping No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan, finishing just two strokes behind Wildcats.
Grace had the lowest single round team score in the tournament with a second round mark of 3176. Grace also boasted two of the top five individual scores.
Grace May led the charge with a 36-hole mark of 155. She shot 76 in the first round and was just one behind medalist honors.
Freshman
Trinity Bramer shot an 81 in round one but cut off five strokes over the final 18 holes and claimed third place with an overall score of 157.
Camille Short finished just outside the top five with a sixth place finish. Short closed out the tournament with a second round score of 77 and an overall mark of 163.
Grace Beerman shot identical scores in both rounds and took 11th with a mark of 170.
Brette Hanavan closed out the scoring for the Lancers with a 173.
The Lancers will now turn their attention to postseason play with the Crossroads League Championships schedule for Monday and Tuesday.
