SILVIS, Ill. - Camron Jones had an impressive opening round on Wednesday at the 2025 NAIA National Championships.
Jones fired a one-under round of 70 at TPC Deere Run in the first round of the national tournament. He sits tied for 15th on the individual leaderboard out of 156 golfers.
Jones was originally scheduled to begin tournament play on Tuesday, but the first round was canceled due to weather.
He began the day on a strong note, birdying his first hole. Jones also birdied on holes four and seven during the front-nine.
After hitting a lull during the middle of his round with a trio of bogeys, Jones ended the day well. He produced five pars and a birdie to close out the day to secure his opening-round 70.
Jones will tee off the second round at 9 a.m. (CT). The field will be cut after the second round on Thursday night.
