2025 PREVIEW: Grace Men’s Golf set for promising season

WINONA LAKE, Ind. — With a balanced mix of seasoned leadership and young talent, Grace College's men's golf team enters the 2025–26 season with high expectations.

Head coach Trey Stoll is optimistic about what lies ahead for the Lancers following a productive offseason.

"I'm really excited heading into this season," Stoll said. "There's a great sense of focus and maturity in the group, and you can tell everyone's hungry to compete at a high level. The energy is right where we want it."

The Lancers return a key senior class of Camron Jones, Braxton Christie, Isaac Embry and Gavin Tidd. The seniors bring veteran poise and leadership to a team planning to contend in every tournament.

Jones has almost singlehandedly rewritten large portions of Grace's record book. He won the 2025 Crossroads League Championships and qualified for the NAIA National Championships for the second straight year. A top-10 finish at NAIAs led Jones to NAIA All-American status.

Juniors and sophomores like Luke Rosebrook, Charlie Jones and Noah Riffle round out a steady core that is ready for the grind of the college golf season.

"Our upperclassmen have done a great job setting the tone," Stoll added. "They know what it takes to perform week in and week out, and they're leading both vocally and by example."

The incoming freshman class — Jake Keiser, Henry Nussbaum and Max Seachrist — has already made an impression in the team's practice rounds. Each player brings confidence and talent, with early signs pointing to impactful contributions.

"We've got three freshmen who've already shown they can compete," said Stoll. "Their talent is evident; now it's just about adjusting to the college schedule and pressure."

Grace will focus on several key areas this season: maintaining consistency, sharpening short games and refining course management. Stoll emphasized that success will hinge on eliminating big numbers, capitalizing on scoring chances and getting strong contributions from all five players in each event.

"Consistency is going to be key—both in terms of ball striking and our mental approach," he said. "If we can stay mentally tough and play with discipline, we'll give ourselves a chance to be in contention regularly."

Beyond the scores, team culture remains a central focus for the Lancers. Stoll and his staff are committed to developing a cohesive, accountable unit—one that values growth, communication and trust both on and off the course.

"This is a group with a lot of potential," Stoll said. "If we stay committed to the process, I think we can do something special this year. I'm proud of the culture we're building—it's competitive, supportive and driven."

The Lancers will begin their season with the three-day Lawrence Tech Collegiate Kickoff on Monday (Boyne Mountain, Mich.). Grace's home tournament in the fall will be the Battle at Stonehenge on Sept. 29-30.
