WINONA LAKE, Ind. - For the second straight year, Jimena Ramirez can claim the status of All-American.
Ramirez was named NAIA Second Team All-American for Grace's women's tennis team, repeating the honor from last season.
She is the first NAIA All-American in team history and just the second player for Grace women's tennis to achieve All-American status (Emily [Mast] Ackerman; 2019 NCCAA All-American).
Ramirez posted a sterling 27-4 record this year. She lost just once in doubles (14-1) and recorded a 13-3 mark while playing as Grace's top singles' player. She boasts a 62-13 career record as a Lancer (.827 winning percentage).
At the conclusion of the year, Ramirez is ranked No. 14 in the ITA singles' rankings for NAIA. She is ranked 11th in the country for doubles along with her partner Alejandra Sandoval.
In the classroom, Grace also collected several awards. Sandoval and Molli Runestad were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators.Â
Sandoval and Runestad joined Amy Adams by receiving Scholar-Athlete status as well by the NAIA.
