WINONA LAKE, Ind. - For the fifth time in his career, Grace's Chad Briscoe has been named the Crossroads League Athletic Director of the Year.
Briscoe was chosen by his peers as the league's outstanding A.D., as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
"I'm honored to receive this award — it is a direct reflection of the incredible coaches and student-athletes at Grace who pursue Christian excellence every day," Briscoe said. "I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity we have at Grace College to represent Christ through athletics. It's also a privilege to serve alongside such dedicated athletic directors across the league. They're not only highly skilled professionals but also valued friends who help make the Crossroads League well-respected at the national level."
Briscoe's five A.D. of the Year awards are tied for the most in league history. He helped oversee multiple facility improvements on campus during the school year, including new team rooms for softball, men's soccer and women's soccer as well as the nearly completed baseball stadium renovation at Tom Roy - UPI Park.
The Lancers enjoyed a memorable school year in 2024-25. Grace tied for its best finish ever in the Crossroads League All-Sports Standings (fourth). The accomplishment was fueled by 12 teams finishing inside the top-half of the league, which included five top-three finishes and Crossroads League Championships in men's tennis and men's basketball.Â
Eight teams competed at the NAIA National Championships, including Grace's volleyball team for the first time since 2001. The women's cross country and track and field teams finished as the No. 8 Program of the Year ranking by the USTFCCCA. Briscoe helped Grace secure hosting bids for NAIA Opening Rounds for two sports (men's basketball, volleyball).
In the classroom, every program at Grace is on pace to achieve NAIA Scholar Team status for the ninth straight year.
Briscoe is highly involved at the national level. He completed a three-year term as the President of the NAIA's National Administrative Council. He was presented with an Award of Merit from the NAIA for his service to the organization. Briscoe has also served for multiple years on the NAIA's Men's Basketball Selection Committee.
Annually, Briscoe has brought in multiple Sportsmanship Summits to Grace's campus, helping area high schools learn about character-building opportunities through athletics.
He additionally serves as the President of the NCCAA and has helped Grace reach #KingChasing institution status from the NCCAA and Gold Star Champions of Character status from the NAIA.
