MARION, Ind. - Grace College's cheer team enjoyed three meets at Indiana Wesleyan over the weekend.
The Lancers, competing as an exhibition squad during the competition season, tackled the IWU Wildcat Weekend with a trio of events.
On Friday, Grace competed against six other NAIA schools. The Lancers collected 79.6 points.
Saturday saw the Lancers compete in a pair of competitions. During the first session on Saturday, Grace upped its total to 79.8 points. That total bettered three Crossroads League opponents during the session (Bethel, St. Francis, Huntington).
The second session on Saturday was the Lancers' best performance. Grace continued its upward trend, amassing 80.1 points in the afternoon. The score was the fourth-highest among all teams competing, again topping a trio of league opponents.
The Lancers have two more invitationals scheduled this year. Grace will take on the St. Francis Invitational on Feb. 13 and the Taylor Invitational on Feb. 28.
