WARSAW, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team was unable to grab a top-10 victory on Thursday.
No. 20 Grace fell 4-0 versus No. 8 Holy Cross in a match played to clinch.
Grace earned a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles thanks to Benjamin Rahine and Mahefa Rakotomalala.
But the Saints claimed No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to earn the match's first point.
Holy Cross was swift finishing off the match in singles. The Saints won in straight sets at No. 1, 3 and 4 singles to grab the requisite fourth point of the match.
Grace will end the week by opening up Crossroads League play. The Lancers will travel to Mt. Vernon Nazarene on Saturday in the league opener.
