MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - Grace's men's tennis team made quick work of Mt. Vernon Nazarene on Saturday.
The Lancers swept Mt. Vernon Nazarene 7-0 to start the Crossroads League season.
Grace won all three doubles' courts, dropping only three games in the three matches. Manuel Marques and Andreas Polichronopoulos were perfect at No. 1 doubles.
Stergios Papadpoulos and Aurelien Coan cruised 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, and Benjamin Rahine and Noah Monson teamed up for a 6-2 victory at No. 3.
In singles' play, the Lancers were nearly flawless across all six courts.
Polichronopoulos (No. 1), Rahine (No. 2), Coan (No. 3) and Papadopoulos (No. 4) did not drop a game in their victories.
Cesar Garcia earned a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles, and Zach Parker finished off the perfect day with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6.
The Lancers have two league matches next week, including at Taylor on Tuesday and home versus Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday.
