UPLAND, Ind. - Grace's men's tennis team picked up another conference victory on Tuesday afternoon, blanking Taylor 7-0.
Grace was in firm control of the match from the outset. All three doubles courts went to the Lancers, securing the first point of the day.Â
Mahefa Rakotomalala secured the first point from singles play. He turned in a dominating 6-0, 6-0 performance.
Benjamin Rahine was next to win a point from the No. 2 slot, going 6-1, 6-0.
The match clinching point came from
Manuel Marques at No. 4 singles. He went 6-1, 6-1 on the day.
Aurelien Coan added another point, going 6-1, 6-2 on court four.
No. 1 singles was the only court to need a third set to determine a winner.
Andreas Polichronopoulos won the first set 6-4, but dropped the second set by the same score. In the tiebreaker he regained control to win 10-2.
Stergios Papadopoulos finished up the clean sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 showing at No. 6 in the lineup.
Grace will continue league play on Saturday March 28 at the Don Cramer Tennis Courts. First serve against Indiana Wesleyan is set for 11 a.m.
