GOSHEN, Ind. - The 2026-27 season officially got underway this weekend for Grace College's bowling squads at the Maple City Classic.

The women's team placed third out of seven teams, and the men finished in sixth. 

The women knocked down 4,126 pins to tie for third place in the field. The men collected 4,429 pins.

Madison Coquillard and Kiley Penzien finished back-to-back in 16th and 17th place respectively to pace Grace. Coquillard knocked down an average of 157.33 pins with a top game of 179. Penzien posted an average game of 155.

Kit Sprunger was steady for an average of 146.67 (21st place).

She was followed by Addison Jackson (133.33 average) and Jadelynn Girouard (159-137).

On the men's side, the Lancers had two top-10 finishers. Nick Ransbottom charged into third place, averaging 195.7 pins; he finished five pins behind the overall leader.

Zack Camp placed sixth with an average of 188, including a high game of 204.

Logan Pitts tallied an average of 166 for a 14th-place showing, and he was followed by Spencer Thompson (179-222) and Jayden Nolte (155-113).

The Lancers' next tournament is the Western Shootout on Oct. 10-11.
