MADISONVILLE, Tenn. – Grace's baseball team kicked off its season this weekend at Hiwassee College.

The Lancers played two games on Friday, splitting with Hiwassee. Saturday's games were cancelled due to cold weather.

The season opener was a game to remember. The first half of the twinbill went to 14 innings as Grace pulled out a thrilling 5-4 victory.

The second game was shortened after five innings due to darkness with Hiwassee claiming a 2-1 win.

The Lancers will return to Tennessee next weekend for a four-game series against Oakland City.
