ALLENDALE, Mich. - Grace's indoor track and field season continued as the team squeezed in one more meet before winter break.
The Lancers sent a contingent to the Holiday Open hosted by Grand Valley State on Friday.
Grace sent six ladies to compete. Emily McCreary reached 5-feet-2.25 in the high jump to place seventh. Freshman Breanna Hyde finished 13th in the long jump at 17-1.5.
Gracious O'Connor ran 7.91 in the 60-meter dash, and Madelyn Yoder ran 8.46.
Olivia Adkins crossed the finish line in 1:00.78 in the 400. Emma Conrad (9.90) and Yoder (9.94) competed in the 60 hurdles.
On the men's side, Noah Zimmerman leapt 21-feet-4 in the long jump to place 12th.
Cole Johnston raced to a time of 15:14.98 in the 5,000, and Justin Van Prooyen ran 15:39.70 at the same distance.
Ethan Cummins finished in 7.20 in the 60, and Luke Schramm ended in 2:05.43 in the 800.
"I'm very encouraged by what our athletes were able to do today. They continue to raise the bar for themselves and remained locked in," said Grace head coach Michael Moffitt. "There is already clear improvement from our performances at this time last year, which is great motivation as we go into winter break. I'm excited to see what our athletes will do when they return."

The Lancers are back in action next month, taking on the Sean Brady Invitational on Jan. 13.
