WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The athletic communication office for Grace was recognized this summer with 26 national awards.
The awards' haul, given from the annual competitions by NAIA-SIDA and the College Sports Communicators, represents the largest in the office's history.
Grace was given the NAIA's 2023-24 Gary Spitler Award, given to the top department in the NAIA as judged from the contest awards. It marks the second Spitler Award in department history (2018-19). Georgia Gwinnett and Grace shared the Spitler honors for 2023-24.
The honors are from several categories including website, social media designs, articles, posters, videos and programs.
The Lancers led the nation with 19 awards from the NAIA-SIDA. Grace had three pieces win "Best in the Nation" status, including two social media designs and one video highlight.
Grace's website (www.gclancers.com) received high praise. It was ranked No. 10 in the NAIA, and it's now been ranked in the top-10 in the NAIA for eight straight years (2017-24), the only site in the nation to receive that distinction.
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) handed Grace seven awards in the Creative & Digital Design Contest. Additionally, Grace was selected as the national runner-up in the Designer of the Year contest for the College Division (non-NCAA Div. I schools).
