PALM COAST, Fla. - Grace College's women's golf team is in third place following the conclusion of the first round of the NCCAA National Tournament.
The Lancers shot 332 as a team over the first 18-holes, and sit 15 strokes behind Wayland Baptist who is currently the overall leader.
The Lancers were led by
Kiley Standring who shot an 82 in the opening round of the championship. Her score has her in the top-10 as she is in a six-way tie for seventh.
The Next three Lancers finished in a near dead heat. Last year's individual national champion
Brette Hanavan and teammate
Trinity Bramer both carded scores of 83 to close out the first day in a tie for 13th.
Camille Short was just a stroke behind in 15th with her mark of 84.
Grace Beerman rounded out the scoring for the Lancers with a score of 90.
The second round will start Tuesday morning with the third and final round taking place on Wednesday afternoon.
