WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Following an impressive showing for Grace's women's soccer team, Ivy Cline was named the NCCAA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Cline impressed last week against a top opponent. She saved four shots against No. 17 Taylor, helping Grace to a draw and securing third place in the Crossroads League standings.
Cline adds to her already impressive sophomore season, bringing her season totals to 24 saves, a 0.774 save percentage and a 0.40 goals allowed average. Those numbers are good enough for a top-two ranking within the conference.
Cline has been a defensive centerpiece for the Lancers and a key contributor to their 13-2-3 record.Â
The Lancers are hosting the quarterfinals of the CL Tournament on Wednesday, taking on sixth-seed Bethel at 4 p.m. at 1st Source Bank Field. The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday at the two highest-remaining seeds.
