MARION, Ind. - Grace's track and field team took on its final regular season indoor meet on Saturday at the IWU Midwest Classic.
The Lancers won two events and had two runner-up finishes on Saturday.
Kylie Sauder won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.96.
Grace's women also won the distance medley relay; Cece Mitchell, Tame Baylis, Olivia Adkins and Zoe Huley finished in 12:36.95.
Huley grabbed fifth place in the 400 (1:01.16), Morgan Welch had a sixth-place showing in the 1,000 (3:11.61), and Mitchell was ninth in the 5,000 (18:51.70).
Madelyn Yoder earned seventh in the 60 hurdles (9.94 seconds), and Lanae Crowe was ninth in the weight throw (44-feet-10.25).
In the jumps, Emily McCreary crossed 5-3 in the high jump for fourth place, and Makayla Neal was sixth in the long jump (16-0.25).
For the men, Mick Wright reached the 60 finals and earned a sixth-place showing at 7.05, and he also grabbed seventh in the 200 at 23.15.
Brandon Kleber produced a runner-up finish in the 5,000 at 14:57.30, Cole Johnston ended in seventh in the 3,000 (8:56.22), and Michael Muiruri was seventh in the 60 hurdles (8.85).
The men were runners-up in the distance medley relay. Caleb Nichols, Brady Hunsberger, Ty McPhatter and Jackson Winey combined for a time of 10:28.67.
Hunsberger was fifth in the 1,000 at 2:31.08, and Luis Loera was seventh in the mile at 4:38.32.
The Lancers will shift into postseason mode, beginning with the Crossroads League Championships on Feb. 14-15 at Taylor. The indoor season will wrap up with the NAIA National Championships in Florida, beginning Feb. 27.
