GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The women's 4x800-meter team highlighted the second day of competition for Grace's track and field team at the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
The relay team of Cece Mitchell, Morgan Welch, Cadence Manning and Kylie Sauder produced a time of 9:19.63. The foursome placed seventh in the nation to earn All-American status.
It marks the third straight year that Grace's women's 4x800 relay has achieved All-American honors.
Sauder began the day with an impressive run in the mile preliminaries. She won her heat by over a second with a blazing final lap, breaking the tape in 5:02.65. She will race in the finals on Saturday at 12:25 p.m.
Brady Hunsberger followed up Sauder's performance with a qualifying run of his own in the men's mile. He ran a time of 4:16.37, grabbing the final spot by two-tenths of a second. He will run in the men's final on Saturday at 12:35 p.m.
Esther Cameron qualified for the 5,000 finals on Thursday and will run for All-American placing on Saturday at 3:55 p.m.
