ELKHART, Ind. - The Grace College bowling teams concluded the Crossroads League portion of its schedule with two final tournaments.

Grace competed at Crossroads League #3 and #4, wrapping up its conference play as a result.

CROSSROADS LEAGUE #3

The third tournament of the conference season took place in Jackson, Mich. Both the men and women placed seventh out of eight teams in the tournament.

The men totaled 4,792 pins on the day, including 2,679 in team games and 2,113 in baker play.

Curtis Payne led the way for the men, averaging 190.7 pins across his three games. Alex Birong (179.3), Joey Larison (177.0) and Nick Ransbottom (176.3) finished in a tight pack behind Payne.

The women tallied 2,313 pins in team games and 1,945 pins in baker play, adding up to 4,258 pins.

Kit Sprunger was the high scorer for the women's team. For her three games, she eclipsed 500 pins for an average of 171 per game.

Addison Jackson (163) and Jadelynn Girouard (156) were next in scoring for the squad.

CROSSROADS LEAGUE #4

The conference season concluded with Crossroads League #4 in Elkhart, Ind. Grace's men climbed one spot from their previous finish, ending in sixth out of eight teams, and the ladies placed seventh.

The men wrapped up the day with 4,449 pins, and the women finished with 3,760 pins as a team.

The men had two individuals finish in the top-12 in the field. Larison averaged 192.3 across his three games, including a high game of 220 in the third round. He placed ninth overall.

Corbin Payne was 12th in the field, producing a high game of 210 and an average of 185.

Kiley Penzien paced the ladies with a 12th-place finish. She had an average round of 164.3, including a top game of 189.

In baker competition, the top-four team finishers advanced to the Crossroads League Championships, but neither the men nor the women for Grace breached the top-four team finishers.
