SILVIS, Ill. - For the first time in recorded history, Grace's men's golf team has a top-10 finisher at the NAIA National Championships.
Camron Jones finished a memorable week by tying for seventh place in the country. He finished with an even-par score across his three rounds.
He repeats as an NAIA All-Tournament Team recipient after finishing 12th at last year's championships.
On Friday, Jones was one-over par in the back-nine to start the day. He birdied hole 13 for the first time in the week and also had a birdie on hole seven. He carded a score of 73 for the day (+2) to secure a top-10 showing.
His final scorecard reads 70-70-73 for a tournament tally of 213. His total of 213 is tied for the second-lowest score by a Lancer during a 54-hole tournament, trailing only his own record of 211 set two weeks ago.
Jones completed back-to-back appearances at the NAIA National Championships, marking the first Grace men's golf representative at the national tournament since the golf team qualified in 1993.
He finished the tournament with eight birdies, eight bogeys and 38 pars.
