WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace College's athletic communications office was awarded the NAIA's top honor for the second straight year.
Grace's office was named the Gary Spitler Award winner for the 2024–25 academic year, distinguishing it as the top department in the nation based on contest awards. This accolade marks the third time Grace has received the Spitler Award, having previously won in 2019 and 2024. The Lancers are the only current NAIA school with three Spitler Awards.
The department garnered 19 national awards, including 15 from the NAIA-Sports Information Directors Association and four from the College Sports Communicators. Notably, Grace secured four "Best in the Nation" honors, highlighting its work in writing and social media designs. Grace's awards also included categories in video highlights, game notes, motion graphics and audio broadcasting.
Additionally Grace's website (www.gclancers.com) was ranked fifth in the country for NAIA institutions. The award-winning site has now been ranked in the top-10 of the NAIA for nine straight years (2017-25), the only site in the country to earn that distinction.
