WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Pedro Galante picked up his first conference honor of the season after helping Grace College's men's soccer team to a pair of impressive opening week performances.

The Crossroads League named Galante the defensive player of the week after posting a 1-0-1 record with four saves.

Galante made his Lancer debut against No. 4 Cumberlands. The junior keeper made three saves in the appearance and helped Grace to a 1-1 draw against the top ranked Patriots.

Galante picked up his first win of his Lancer career with a clean sheet performance against Graceland.

The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday for a 7:15 p.m. showdown against No. 22 Rio Grande.
