WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Grace College's athletic department is excited to host a dedication ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 4, for its new baseball stadium.
The dedication for Tom Roy - UPI Park will celebrate the new home for Grace College's baseball program.
The ballpark added a new press box, team locker room, meeting room, alumni suite, grandstand seating, team dugouts, new backstop and netting system over the course of the project, paving the way for a bright future for the Lancers.
On Oct. 4, an open house will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., allowing visitors to tour the freshly completed facility. The dedication ceremony will begin at 12:15 p.m. with a meet-and-greet opportunity to conclude the event.
The stadium is named after Tom Roy, a former head coach for the Lancers and founder of Unlimited Potential, Inc. UPI is an international organization that works with professional and collegiate athletes, coaches and umpires as well as leaders in business, education, non-profit ministries and other sectors.
"The dedication of Tom Roy - UPI Park marks a significant milestone for Grace College Baseball and our entire athletic department," said Grace Director of Athletics Chad Briscoe. "This facility honors the legacy of Tom Roy and his impact on the sport and his ministry for many years in professional baseball.
