WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Liz Schmidt of Grace's volleyball team collected an individual honor from the Crossroads League.

Schmidt was named the League's Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

The senior averaged an eye-popping 9.3 digs per set last week, leading an impressive back-row performance. She had 31 digs in three sets against No. 16 Mt. Vernon Nazarene (10.3 digs per set).

Schmidt has racked up 402 digs this season, third-most in the NAIA.

The Lancers have two matches this week, hosting No. 21 Marian on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and traveling to No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday.
