WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Cece Mitchell of Grace's track and field team earned two awards on Monday.

Mitchell was named the Track Athlete of the Week for both the NCCAA and the Crossroads League.

The junior won the 10,000-meter run in a blazing time of 36:17.22 at the North Central Distance Fling. Her time reached an NAIA "B" standard and shattered the previous school record. Mitchell broke the the nine-year-old record by nearly a minute.

The Lancers' next scheduled meet is April 10-11 with the Al Owens Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State.
