OPELIKA, Ala. - Grace's men's golf team kicked off the spring season on Thursday and Friday in Alabama.
The Lancers competed in the two-day Lawrence Tech Invitational, held at Grand National Golf Club (Opelika, Ala.).
Nearly every player for Grace improved its score between rounds. Noah Kelly was the top finisher for the Lancers. He produced a 76-79 to finish 21st in the 52-person field.
Payton Kelly shone during the second round for Grace. After shooting 82 on Thursday, Kelly turned in a round of 74 on Friday which was the lowest round of the tournament for the Lancers.
Chase Byron (82-77) and Tristen Dubbs (78-81) had identical tournament scores of 159, and Parker Wilburn was right behind at 160 (85-75).
Eric Haegeland also competed as an individual in the tournament (96-92).
