WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Following a remarkable regular season, Grace's women's soccer team earned a plethora of awards from the Crossroads League.
Cassidy Felger and Nora Pollock earned a spotlight; Pollock was named the Offensive Player of the Year and the Newcomer of the Year, and Felger was chosen as the league's Midfielder of the Year.
Additionally, Grace had four other players earn All-Crossroads League recognition. Audrey Abel and Zoe Mueller joined Felger and Pollock on the All-Crossroads League Team, and Rylee Burns and Rosalie Gefrorer were each honorable mention for All-League.
Pollock has amassed 12 goals and 18 assists for Grace, already tying the record for most assists in a single season in team history. She's tied for the NAIA lead in assists as well.
Felger has racked up 17 goals with nine assists; her 17 goals are tied for the sixth-most in a single season in program history.
Abel, a central midfielder, has tallied six goals and 10 assists. Gefrorer (11 goals, 4 assists) and Rylee Burns (8 goals, 10 assists) have been steady offensive contributors this year. Gefrorer scored the game-tying goal during Grace's Crossroads League Tournament championship victory.
Mueller has anchored a fierce defense for the Lancers. Grace has amassed 15 shutouts this year, second-most in the country. Mueller has also contributed on offense with four goals and two assists.
The Lancers have their attention set on next week's NAIA National Championships. Grace is in a strong position to host NAIA opening round games next week. The team will find out its next opponent along with the full NAIA bracket on Friday evening.
