Scott finishes as finalist for Bevo Francis and Trevor Hudgins Award

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Ian Scott earned a rare double honor for Grace's men's basketball team.

The star senior finished as a finalist for two of the premier honors given out by Small College Basketball.

Scott was named a finalist for both the Bevo Francis Award and the Trevor Hudgins Award.

The Bevo Francis Award is presented annually to the most outstanding player in small college basketball, including the NAIA, NCAA Div. II and Div. III. Considerations for the award include statistics, awards, personal character and team achievements.

The Trevor Hudgins Award is given each year to a senior who had the finest overall four-year career within small college basketball. The player must have remained at the small college level throughout his four years.

Scott is the first Lancer to be a finalist for the Trevor Hudgins Award; he is the second Lancer to be a finalist for the Bevo Francis Award after Elijah Malone won the honor in 2024.

Scott was an NAIA First Team All-American this season as well as the Player of the Year for the NCCAA and the Crossroads League. He finishes his Lancer career with 1,610 career points (No. 24 in team history), 906 rebounds, 393 assists, 186 blocks (No. 3) and 111 steals.
