ASBURY, Ky. - Grace's track and field teams enjoyed a stellar second day at the 2026 NCCAA National Championships on Thursday.

The Lancers had four events finish as All-Americans (top-three), highlighting an impressive start to the championships.

In the heptathlon, Makayla Neal finished as the national runner-up. Across the two-day competition, Neal racked up 3,831 points. She was the top finisher in the high jump and the long jump events, completing back-to-back NCCAA All-American finishes in the heptathlon.

Molly Hofmann placed fifth in the event as a freshman, including winning the shot put event.

Neal went on to claim sixth place in the long jump (16-9.25).

Sophie Rupp was also a national runner-up. She cleared 5-feet-1.75 in the high jump. Lani Calizo placed in the jump by grabbing seventh (4-11.75).

The men's 4x800 relay team of Kyle Olszewski, Caleb Nichols, Alex Pinkleton and John Young placed second in the nation with a time of 7:53.78.

Clayton Martin earned All-American status in the javelin, tossing 184-4 on his final throw to grab third.

Blake McCoy placed seventh in the high jump (6-0.75), and Brock Lengacher was also seventh in the discus (142-6).

In the preliminary races, Addie Gustus advanced in the 100 hurdles, and Michael Muiruri did likewise in the 110 hurdles. Mick Wright produced the second-fastest time in the 100 dash and will also compete in the finals on Friday.

Friday's events will begin at 8:30 a.m.

After the first two days of scoring, Grace's women lead the team standings. They hold a narrow two-point edge over two teams in second place; six of the 22 events have finished.

The men sit in sixth place overall.
